A nationwide stakeholders sensitization workshop was conducted from February 19th to March 26th 2024 to address critical issues concerning the accreditation of private security training centers, certification of private security trainers, and the issuance of permits for private security operatives. The workshop, which spanned nine zones across Nigeria, was a significant initiative to streamline and enhance the standards within the private security sector.
The workshop was facilitated by Tagged Technologies Limited, acting as a Technical Consultant for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN) and the collaboration between these organizations underscores a concerted effort to professionalize the private security industry in Nigeria.
The sensitization commenced in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and culminated in Jos, Plateau State. This extensive coverage ensured stakeholders from various zones of the country were engaged, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the new standards and protocols.
